Terroir of La Landonne
At the heart of the vertiginous Côte-Rôtie landscape, we vinifie a parcel located on the lower part of the slope, where Syrah reaches its finest levels of ripeness. The clay-limestone soil is composed of schistous arenas rich in iron oxides, mixed with fragments of mica-schist, bringing the wine depth, tension, color, and structure.
To express the singularity of one of the finest parcels at the heart of the La Landonne lieu-dit, benefiting from a double exposure in the northernmost appellation of the Northern Rhône. A sunlit emotion for a broad, majestically present wine, offering a complex aromatic palette with sensual notes of peony and sweet spices, a fullness without heaviness.
