The terraces of Gigondas, shaped by marl and limestone, form a steep and majestic landscape. Bathed in sunlight throughout the year, they benefit from the restorative freshness of Le Mistral and thermal winds, which ensure a perfect climatic balance. The soils, combining red clay and stones, with the grey limestone characteristic of the appellation’s summit, provide the grape varieties with a firmly structured foundation. From this powerful and singular geology, wines of character are born, marked by finesse, tension, and depth.

Rich and highly complex, 2023 is a powerful vintage. The vines coped remarkably well with the heat and drought, reaching maturity at the end of August and delivering a balanced and promising vintage.

winemaking and ageing

Vinification is conducted in the traditional manner in concrete vats, with the aim of preserving the purest expression of the fruit. Extraction is gentle and controlled, allowing the wine’s delicacy and elegance to emerge fully. Ageing, carried out exclusively in stainless steel vats, continues for a minimum of 24 months, refining the texture while maintaining freshness and aromatic precision.

To the eye, the deep colour is garnet red.

On the nose, the aromas of morello cherries evolve with touches of cocoa and coffee.
Over time, notes of undergrowth and spices will emerge.

On the palate, this heady wine shows beautiful roundness supported by a silky structure.

The finish is perfectly balanced and remains fresh.
