terroir of Saint-Esprit

The climate here is typically Mediterranean, marked by the strength of Le Mistral. This northern wind keeps the air and vines healthy as it decends along the Rhone Valley, which enhances the freshness of the wine. The region’s hot summers, rare but well-distributed rainfall, and generous sunshine all contribute to the brightness, intensity, and balance that define the Côtes-du-Rhône.

vintages

vintage

Marked by a mild winter followed by a warm spring and summer, at times marked by heatwaves, the vegetative cycle advanced by around two weeks. Dry conditions encouraged the development of small, highly concentrated berries, while the September rains demanded meticulous precision in determining the harvest dates.

The 2025 vintage stands out for its fine balance, freshness, and aromatic richness. The whites display tension, pronounced minerality, and remarkable brightness.

winemaking and ageing

After a delicate pressing followed by cold settling, the musts are carefully racked before being vinified in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks at low temperatures, in order to preserve the aromatic purity of the grape varieties.

In pursuit of balance, freshness and finesse, malolactic fermentation is deliberately not carried out. The wines are then aged in stainless-steel tanks until bottling, preceded by a light fining and gentle filtration to ensure the cuvée’s stability and clarity.
